• Pandu and Ramesh Khanna first shared screen space in 'Pammal K. Sambandam' (2002) because director Mouli specifically wanted a real-life comedy duo who could riff off each other without rehearsal. Pandu was already a veteran; Ramesh was the younger writer-actor. Mouli bet the film's comic relief on their natural rhythm.
• In 'Junior Senior' (2002), Pandu played the straight man to Ramesh Khanna's hyperactive chatterbox. Ramesh later admitted in an interview that Pandu would deliberately pause his lines an extra beat — forcing Ramesh to fill the silence with improvised nonsense, which became the film's funniest moments.

• After 'Jeyikkira Kuthira' (2017) flopped, Pandu and Ramesh Khanna stopped speaking for nearly two years. The reason? A petty argument over who changed the script's climax without telling the other. They reconciled only in 2019 at a mutual friend's wedding — but never made another film together.
