• Srihari and Soundarya first paired up in Amma Donga (1995) because the director, K. S. Ravi Kumar, wanted a fresh, rugged pair to contrast the film's comic tone. Srihari was already a known villain, but Soundarya insisted he play the hero — she told the press she 'saw a softer side' in him that no one else had cast yet.
• In Premaku Velayara (1999), Srihari deliberately slowed down his usual aggressive dialogue delivery to match Soundarya's more measured, emotional rhythm. He later said in an interview that she 'made him act with his eyes, not his fists' for the first time in his career.
• During the shoot of Sri Ramulayya (1999), Soundarya would cook biryani for the entire unit every Sunday.
