• Their pairing in Maayi (2000) directly inspired the template for Vadivelu's later hit comedy track with Jyothika in Dhool (2003) — the same director reused their 'bickering sibling' dynamic.
• Vadivelu was still a struggling comedian when Meena, already a star, insisted he be cast as her hero's sidekick in Rajakumaran (1994). She told the director she wouldn't do the film without him.
