• In 'Vandicholai Chinraasu' (1994), Sathyaraj played the comic lead while Anandaraj played the straight-faced henchman. The trick was that Anandaraj never smiled — Sathyaraj fed him deadpan lines, and Anandaraj's stone-cold reactions made the comedy land harder. They rehearsed that rhythm for two days before shooting.
