• Rajpal Yadav was cast in 'Bhagam Bhag' (2006) because Akshay Kumar personally insisted. The director Priyadarshan originally wanted a different actor for the role of the bumbling sidekick. Akshay told him, 'Rajpal will make this scene gold.' He was right.
• In 'Singh Is Bling' (2015), Akshay let Rajpal improvise almost all his lines. The script had only basic cues for Rajpal's character. On set, Akshay would just react to whatever Rajpal threw at him.
