• Nassar and Pandu first shared screen in Poovizhi Raja (1988), but they didn't share a single dialogue. Pandu played a mute character. Their first real scene together came four years later in Thirumathi Palanisamy (1992) — a film that bombed so hard it almost killed their pairing before it started.
• In Kaadhale Nimmadhi (1998), Nassar played the strict father and Pandu played the comic sidekick. Nassar deliberately slowed his delivery in every scene with Pandu, giving him space to land his punchlines. Pandu later said that rhythm was the only reason their scenes didn't feel like a drama and a comedy stuck in different movies.
• Pokkiri (2007) was their last film together — and it launched a whole new generation of fans for both. The scene where Pandu's character gets beaten up by Vijay's goons while Nassar watches helplessly became a meme template in Tamil social media a decade later. That single scene is why Gen Z knows who Pandu is.
• On the sets of Eazhaiyin Sirippil (2000), Nassar discovered Pandu couldn't read Tamil script properly. Every morning, Nassar would sit with him for 20 minutes and read his lines aloud until Pandu memorized them by sound. They never told the director. Pandu still calls Nassar 'my first reader' in private.
• "Pandu was the only actor who could make me laugh in the middle of a take. I'd break character, the director would yell cut, and Pandu would just shrug and say 'Sorry sir, my face is like that.'" — Nassar, in a 2015 interview with Ananda Vikatan.
