• Tanikella Bharani wrote the dialogues for Varasudu (1993) and specifically recommended Srikanth for the lead role after seeing his intensity in a stage play. The director initially wanted a bigger star, but Bharani insisted Srikanth had the right 'raw energy' for the character.
• In Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnula Pelli (2003), Bharani played the comic sidekick who constantly undercuts Srikanth's romantic heroics. Srikanth told a film magazine that Bharani would deliberately pause his punchlines mid-sentence to make Srikanth break character — and the director kept those flustered reactions in the final cut.
• After Maayajaalam (2006) wrapped, Bharani gifted Srikanth a vintage typewriter — because Srikanth had mentioned wanting to write a novel. Srikanth still keeps it in his home office and says he types one page on it every year on the film's release date.
