• Srinu Vaitla first cast Brahmanandam in 'Venky' (2004) after seeing his chaotic energy in a small role in another film. The director later admitted he wrote the character of 'Brahmi' specifically to give the comedian a full arc, not just a few laughs.
• On the sets of 'Dookudu' (2011), Brahmanandam would deliberately flub his lines to make Srinu Vaitla laugh mid-shot. Vaitla would then rewrite the scene on the spot, turning those mistakes into the final dialogue — that's how the iconic 'Pataas' rant was born.
• The 'Dookudu' (2011) combo of Brahmanandam and Srinu Vaitla directly inspired the 2013 Tamil film 'Soodhu Kavvum' — its director Nalan Kumarasamy said in interviews he wanted that same chaotic, unpredictable comic sidekick energy for the lead.
