• Brahmanandam was already a star when S.V. Krishna Reddy cast him in Top Hero (1994). But the director gave him a role that wasn't just comic relief — he made him the hero's sidekick with actual emotional beats. That trust kicked off their run.
• On the sets of Yamaleela (1994), S.V. Krishna Reddy let Brahmanandam improvise entire stretches of dialogue. The actor would riff for minutes, and the director would keep the camera rolling. That freewheeling style became their signature — no other director gave Brahmanandam that much leash.
