- In Hitler Umanath (1982), Madhavan played a loud, bullying father. Vijaya played his long-suffering wife. She told the director she wanted no rehearsal — she wanted Madhavan to actually shout at her cold, so her tears would be real. He did. The scene was shot in one take.
