• Shatrughan Sinha and Kader Khan first shared screen space in Naseeb (1981), but they didn't have a single scene together. Their characters never met — they were in completely separate tracks of the multi-star cast.
• In Hoshiyar (1985), Kader Khan played the villain while Shatrughan Sinha played the hero. But Khan wrote most of his own dialogue — and Sinha later admitted he had to work twice as hard to match Khan's verbal rhythm in their confrontation scenes.
• Kader Khan was a dialogue writer before he became an actor. On the sets of Ramkali (1985), he would rewrite his lines on the spot — and Shatrughan Sinha would wait for him to finish before delivering his own, because he trusted Khan's ear for dialogue more than the script.
• Shatrughan Sinha once said in an interview: 'Kader sahab could make a villain so charming that the audience would almost root for him. I had to remind myself I was the hero.'
• Their only hit together was Naseeb (1981), which was a massive multi-starrer. But the film's success led to both being cast in Hoshiyar and Ramkali — two films that flopped so badly that no producer paired them again for over a decade.
