Partnership facts

• They first met on the sets of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992). Juhi was already a star after Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. SRK was a newcomer. She later said she thought he was 'too thin' and 'not hero material' at first.
• In Darr (1993), Juhi played the woman caught between SRK's obsessive stalker and Sunny Deol's hero. Their scenes together are tense because SRK improvised the creepy whisper — Juhi's genuine fear on camera is real, not acting.
• Their film Yes Boss (1997) directly inspired the hit Tamil remake 'Ullathai Allitha' (1999) starring Karthik and Rambha. The original's success also made the 'Boss' trope a recurring character type in SRK's later films.

• In Paheli (2005), SRK played a ghost who takes the form of Juhi's husband. The entire film's emotional core rests on Juhi's character slowly realizing the imposter is more loving than the real man. SRK said Juhi's reactions made him 'believe in the magic' of the story.
