• Brahmanandam and Ranganath first shared screen space in 'Mugguru Monagallu' (1994), but their real comic chemistry was discovered by accident on the sets of 'Premante Idera' (1998) — director Jayanth C. Paranjee reportedly let Brahmanandam improvise a scene with Ranganath, and the crew couldn't stop laughing.
• In 'Manmadhudu' (2002), Ranganath played the straight-laced father to Nagarjuna, while Brahmanandam played the chaotic sidekick. Their scenes worked because Ranganath never broke character — he stayed stone-faced even as Brahmanandam went off-script, making the comedy land harder.
• Their pairing in 'Mitrudu' (2009) directly inspired a wave of 'serious hero + comic sidekick' duos in Telugu action films that followed — producers started specifically asking for a Brahmanandam-type character opposite a stern father figure like Ranganath.
