• E. V. V. Satyanarayana gave Brahmanandam his first major break as a comedian in 'Chevilo Puvvu' (1990). Before that, Brahmanandam was mostly doing small roles. The director saw something in his timing and decided to build a whole comedy track around him.
• On the sets of 'Appula Appa Rao' (1991), Brahmanandam would improvise entire dialogues on the spot. E. V. V. Satyanarayana never stopped him. Instead, he would adjust the camera and let him run. That freedom became their working style — the director set the scene, the actor wrote the jokes live.
• Their film 'Jamba Lakadi Bamba' (1993) directly inspired the comedy track in the 2004 Bollywood hit 'Hulchul'. The scene where Brahmanandam's character keeps getting hit by a swinging door was copied beat-for-beat by Priyadarshan for Paresh Rawal's character.
• Brahmanandam once said in an interview that E. V. V. Satyanarayana was the only director who would call him at 2 AM to discuss a single line of dialogue. He never minded. He said the director's obsession with comedy made him a better actor.
• Brahmanandam said about E. V. V. Satyanarayana: 'He gave me the license to go crazy. Other directors would cut me off after one take. He would say, 'Do it again, but this time, make me laugh harder.' I owe my career to that trust.'
• In 'Alibaba Aradajanu Dongalu' (1994), E. V. V. Satyanarayana deliberately wrote a scene where Brahmanandam had to react to nothing — just a blank wall. The director knew Brahmanandam could sell any reaction without a co-star. That scene became a local meme before memes existed.
