• Their first film together, Assembly Rowdy (1991), was a low-budget action flick that nobody expected to launch a duo. Mohan Babu was already a star; Brahmanandam was a rising comedian. The director, B. Gopal, just threw them together and it clicked — they did 13 more after that.
• In Peddarayudu (1995), Brahmanandam played a bumbling sidekick who constantly got on Mohan Babu's nerves. The trick was timing: Mohan Babu would deliver his angry lines with a straight face, and Brahmanandam would wait a beat before reacting — that pause made the comedy land harder.
• Their pairing in Annamayya (1997) — a devotional film — was so unexpected that it became a template. After that, other producers started casting comedy actors in serious mythological roles. Brahmanandam's comic relief in that film directly inspired similar casting in Sri Ramulayya (1999), which they also did together.
• Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam were close off-screen. On the sets of Collector Garu (1997), they'd play carrom between shots. Brahmanandam once said Mohan Babu would deliberately lose to keep the mood light before intense scenes.
