• They first shared screen space in Ketan Mehta's 'Mirch Masala' (1987), but neither had a scene together. Their first actual face-off came seven years later in the forgotten thriller 'Woh Chokri' (1994).
• Om Puri once said Paresh Rawal was the only co-star who could make him break character mid-scene. In 'Chachi 420' (1997), Rawal's improvised one-liners as the flustered husband kept Puri laughing so hard they had to do multiple retakes.
